Project Description

The Madem Lakkos East and Karakoli exploration program involves diamond core drilling from both surface and underground to delineate the extension of known Cu-Au skarn mineralization. The drilling campaign targets areas previously identified through historical drilling, geochemistry, and detailed surface mapping.

The total program includes a minimum of 10,000 meters of inclined and vertical exploration diamond drilling:

  • 5,000 meters from surface in the Madem Lakkos East area
  • 5,000 meters from underground platforms in the Olympias main decline (Karakoli)

Geotest will mobilize one (1) surface diamond drill rig and two (2) underground rigs to complete the work efficiently while maintaining maximum flexibility and operational uptime. All drilling will be conducted from officially permitted drill sites as specified by the Environmental Impact Study (EIS).

To comply with environmental and hydrogeological standards, all completed drillholes will be fully grouted using OPC cement, preventing potential water conduit issues post-drilling.

Project Challenge

Operating in mixed terrain and underground environments demands careful logistical planning, strict safety protocols, and environmental compliance.

  • Simultaneous surface and underground operations
  • Multi-rig coordination in confined and geotechnically variable environments
  • Regulatory-compliant grouting and water control
  • High-quality sampling across multiple lithological domains

RESULTS

Soon.
